ORIGINS: CRAFTS OF THE WORLD, a Limited Edition of 70 pieces to last a lifetime. A new project within JIMENAS, a small, big dream come true.

The LE PLANITO bag is entirely handcrafted by a tribe of women artisans on the island of Cebu, Philippines. Natural straw from the forests of the Philippines, raw and dyed black with hand-made natural dye and gold lurex, all braided on a loom. Hand-braided waxed cotton cord. Cotton lining with an interior pocket for keys or a card holder. (Product photos in the studio are of the prototype without a logo; in production they feature the JIMENAS logo in gold on both the exterior and interior leather patch; see exterior photos.)

Approximate measurements (may vary a few mm due to the handmade process): 18.5 x 14.5 cm Handle drop 55 cm (total length 110 cm). Drop of the two lower fringes 38 cm.

This is a completely handcrafted product, taking four months to complete on a loom. Any imperfections are part of the beauty and characteristics of this product's artisanal process.
